INTRODUCTION
The Sparrows' Nest Ministries, Inc. was established July 12, 1999 as a safe haven for children in crisis and through the years, our programs have continued to grow. Although it began with a simple desire to help children, TSN Ministries is now an established non-profit 501(C)3 organization active in our community with a full time Executive Director, Assistant Director, numerous volunteer staff, a Board of Directors, and numerous children and families whose lives have been changed for the better!

MISSION STATEMENT

The Sparrows' Nest Ministries’, Inc. will provide one-on-one mentoring and counseling, community services to families, highlighted by Christ centered homes to aid children between the ages of 11-14 who are in crisis; experiencing abuse, neglect, abandonment or those who are orphaned and homeless. Our work will extend to their parents/guardians to rebuild the biblical model of “family” fostering reunification which will impact future generations to come.

In support of this mission we will create a nurturing environment, rooted in the Word of God, grounded in faith and abiding in love where children are encouraged to develop spiritually, emotionally, mentally, socially, and physically; to their fullest potential. From at-risk to at-home, TSN rebuilds families one child at a time, to the glory of God!

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Sparrows' Nest Ministries, Inc.’s residential program will provide temporary shelter, mentoring and counseling to low-income families of children between the ages of 11-14 from Prince George’s County Maryland for the purpose of teaching children to have the ability to demonstrate self discipline, respect for authority and improved academic performance enabling the child to be a vital member of their family and a functioning contributing member of society.
